Châteauneuf-du-Pape also produces some delicious white wines. This one from Domaine Beaurenard (beautiful fox?) is made from a cocktail of grapes: 30% clairette, 20% grenache blanc, 25% bourboulenc and 22% roussanne with some picpoul and picardan in there for good measure. It's a round, hedonistic sort of wine which needs food. Something like roast loin of pork would be perfect.
Big round wine with a creamy texture like almonds with apricots, oranges and lemon peel, and a distinct herbal note.
