Domaine Carneros is the California outpost of Taittinger, the illustrious Champagne house. In addition to some great fizz, it also makes high quality still wines from chardonnay and pinot noir. The grapes from this come from a fairly cool part of the state, meaning this is deliciously fresh. It spends around 12 months in French oak casks which bring spice and structure. This which would be particularly nice with roast duck.
Aromatic and fruit with notes of dark cherry and blackberry with subtle spices, vanilla and a fresh floral finish.
