The village of Meursault in the Côte-d'Or (the golden slope, no less) makes some of the most opulent and hedonistic white wines in Burgundy always from 100% Chardonnay. This example comes from a vineyard called Les Narvaux and it's made by the family firm of Ballot-Millot. Expect lots of peachy and citrussy fruit, tangy acidity and toasted hazelnuts. It's indulgence in a glass.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Zingy limey fruit with white peach, then rich and toasty with a distinct taste of hazelnut. Young but already delicious.
