Serious claret alert! This is the second wine of one of greatest estates in Bordeaux, Château Pichon Longueville Comtesse de Lalande, and from the excellent 2016 vintage. It offers much of the class of its big sister but you don't have to keep it for 20 years to fully enjoy it. And it's a lot cheaper. If you want a fancy rib of beef for Sunday lunch red, then look no further.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Lots of fruit freshness on the nose with dark cherry and blackcurrant with toasty wood and vanilla notes. On the palate, still quite primary but the tannins have softened and it's beginning to take on some aromatic cigar box notes. We recommend decanting before serving to open it up.
