This is the second wine of one of Bordeaux's great properties, Château Léoville Barton which is owned by the Irish Barton family. This offers much of the magic of the Grand Vin but at a much more affordable price. Nearly ten years after the vintage, this is drinking splendidly now. If you want to push the boat out next Sunday lunch, then look no further.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Still lots of fresh blackcurrant fruit on the nose which has been joined by baking spices, tobacco and pencil shaving. The tannins have softened somewhat on the palate showing great fruit and savoury mature notes.
