A brilliantly bold red wine from Pauillac in the Medoc region of Bordeaux, produced by Château Gaudin. It's a blend of merlot and cabernet sauvignon matured in oak casks for around 18 months, this is a splendidly tannic expression – ideal to enjoy with rich meats and cheeses, or to pop away in the cellar for a few more years.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Woody spice and pencil shavings with notes of liquorice and fennel balanced by juicy blackberries and redcurrants, wafts of earthy tobacco, and fragrant poached plums.
