Description
A ripe and juicy Cabernet Franc from Château de Villeneuve in the Loire Valley. The estate has been producing wine since 1577 and is now run by fourth-generation winemaker Jean-Pierre Chevallier. Its vineyards sit on chalky soils overlooking the Loire. This 2023 Saumur-Champigny balances fresh red fruit with the subtle leafy, earthy character that makes Cabernet Franc more interesting than another glass of anonymous red jam.
