Argentina long-known for the quality of its cabernet sauvignon is turning out some increasingly good varietal cabernet franc, cab sauv's lighter leafier cousin (parent in fact but we don't need to go into that here). This is made from grapes in the Lujån du Cuyo and Uco vallies which were then aged in French oak to make a ripe spicy wine with a racy streak of freshness to it.
Ripe blackcurrant and blackberry fruit with notes of ginger, mint, dark chocolate and vanilla. Full-bodied and fresh.
