An exciting and rather unique white wine produced in the St Helena Bay region on South Africa's West Coast – Barren Sands is made with the Spanish Palomino grape variety, most commonly used to make sherry! Matured in French oak barrels, it is bold and dry with a good savoury profile, making it an excellent accompaniment for all manner of tasty meals.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Bready yeast, zesty lemon peel, crisp apple, toasted oak, and a gently sandy minerality.
