This comes from Ata Rangi, the masters of Kiwi pinot noir, and sits at the more entry level end of its range. The grapes come from Martinborough and they were handpicked, fermented with native yeasts and then aged a mixture of old and new French oak for nine months. This would be absolutely delicious with all kinds of game birds or poultry.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Lovely ripe red fruit here with cranberry and raspberry leading followed by earthy and sweet spicy notes like cinnamon and liquorice with supple tannins and a silky texture.
