Williamson is a teaspooned whisky blend that is mostly peated single malt from an undisclosed distillery. On an entirely separate note, Bessie Williamson was the owner and distillery manager of Laphroaig Distillery between 1954 and 1972. This particular Scotch whisky was aged for over 12 years in a refill sherry butt before it was bottled at 50% ABV by Thompson Bros.
Pickled walnuts, sweaty farm shed, game meat; smoked pheasant, fatty & rich. Some old passive sherry notes. Cigar ends, a flinty minerality, antique books, clove cigarettes. Lots of generic modern Lp notes – it would be lazy for us to use them!
Clove oil, eucalyptus, leather-bound books, waxed oak floorboards, pickled brine, smoked pineapple salsa.
Menthol rolling tobacco, dry (peat) harth, sandalwood, camphor, chilli oil.
