Wilderness Trail is very selective with its small batches of bourbon, releasing as little as 12 barrels at a time. This one has a high rye content with a mash bill of
64% corn, 24% rye, and 12% malted barley, and was matured for a minimum of four years in barrels with #4 Char, a high level to create a full-bodied and flavoured bottling.
Toffee apples, oak char, clove, and freshly baked bread.
Cinnamon buns accompanied by wood smoke and just a hint of honey.
Cigar box and a little orchard fruit lingers.

We are currently unable to sell Wilderness Trail Bourbon (Batch 16E02) to your current shipping destination.
OMG! Just bought from Master of Malt - no reviews but took a punt with it looking good and description. The nose is wow, orange, cinnamon, smokey, oakey, wow! Palate - just as complex. Not sure about cinnamon buns but truly, best bourbon I've personally ever had - and to be fair, do have Blantons, Woodford Double Oak on the shelf. Makes you want to be in Kentucky, early or late summer, with a glass and a cigar!
