A classic blend made up of 41 different whiskies. Whyte and Mackay special is a great mixer.

Cheap and inoffensive blend. Better than Bells.
I can't understand peoples complaints about this Whiskey and as for not as good as Teachers or Grants. it's a blend and always on the supermarket shelf and often on discount. It is a good drop and equal to any low priced supermarket booze. I am a Speyside man but I will pick up Whyte and Mackay when the litre bottle in on offer and I would not choose Grants Or Teachers when Whyte and Mackay is on the shelf .
What a bloody good blended Scotch. Absolutely smooth and easy drink
...otherwise one of the rougher blends. Not a patch on quality blends like Teachers or even the likes of Grants/Bells. Mixed this with soda water mainly, tried a few straight, pretty hard going.
If money were no object I'd drink single malt all the time, but I can only afford to drink a blended whiskey regularly. I have alwaysbeen a fan of Famous Grouse, which is amazingly good for a blended - it's what I buy always. But this was on offer today for £12 so I gave it a whirl. Not bad, better than expected - tastes a bit like Jamesons. I have it neat, one cube, totally palletable, will be fine mixed no doubt and quite quaffable. I can't stand Teachers, Bells or Grants, this is better by far than those three - but if you want an always excellent blended - get on the Grouse.
