Another Irish whiskey from The Pogues (yes, the band) and West Cork Distillers. The band's first foray into the world of whiskey was a brilliant Irish blend, and now we have a single malt, aged in bourbon oak casks before it was bottled up at 40% ABV. Now we're going to have Fairytale of New York stuck in our heads for the rest of the day.
Fairly floral, with lavendar, sesame snaps, caramelised nuts and salted chocolate.
Dry oak spice and chai spices, with peanut butter, s'mores and floral malt.
A gentle finish of lingering caramel alongside cinnamon stick.

£18 Sainsbury's. It's proper stuff. It's smooth has some acidity but only to the tongue. Strong immediate effect. Easy on stomach. I'd recommend it straight but cold from fridge.
Very disappointed with this whiskey, harsh on the pallet and unpleasant. I even poured it away and didn’t give it to a friend.
Even ginger ale didn't make better this stuff
I don't really understand the harshly negative views on here. OK, it isn't complex but it is as smooth as silk and goes down very easily. It is also unlike any other whisky or whiskey that I've tried, with quite a wine-like quality. To the bloke who said he threw it down the sink: please send it my way next time, I'll cover your postage.
This is the only whisky I've thrown down the sink. Actively unpleasant cotton like mouth feel.
