Another Irish whiskey from The Pogues (yes, the band) and West Cork Distillers. The band's first foray into the world of whiskey was a brilliant Irish blend, and now we have a single malt, aged in bourbon oak casks before it was bottled up at 40% ABV. Now we're going to have Fairytale of New York stuck in our heads for the rest of the day.
Fairly floral, with lavendar, sesame snaps, caramelised nuts and salted chocolate.
Dry oak spice and chai spices, with peanut butter, s'mores and floral malt.
A gentle finish of lingering caramel alongside cinnamon stick.

Absolutely rancid. This is undoubtedly the worst whiskey I have ever tasted, strong aftertaste of ear wax, won't even finish the bottle. shame I can't get my money back because at £20 its a total rip off ! it only gets 0.5 stars because i cant give 0.
Utter piss
Yuk. Spend an extra couple of quid on a bottle of Black Bush.
Personally I like it so does my wife. Plenty of character and flavour. On offer at Sainsburys at the time of purchase, non the less would buy again.
Some of the review claim that this whiskey is not worth it. Well it’s not bad, but it’s not great. It’s sweet and the finish is a little weak to be fair. It’s a £20 bottle of whiskey and this price point it’s not bad, it’s worth the price, but no more.
