Writers Tears Cask Strength (2021 Release)
It's the 2021 edition of Writers Tears Cask Strength Irish whiskey! This expression is made with a blend of single malt and single pot still whiskeys which have been triple distilled and aged in bourbon barrels. It's bottled up at 54.2% ABV, and 4,500 bottles were released. Always wonderful stuff, and it's got some really rather jazzy packaging this year. Brill!
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Ginger tea, apricot, melted butter on crumpets.
Palate
Rounded malt and warming spices, dotted with green apple and white chocolate.
Finish
Creamy vanilla, crushed cardamom pod, a touch of cedar.
