Joining the wonderful Old Malt Cask series of independent bottlings from Hunter Laing comes this terrific single malt Scotch from Tullibardine. Distilled in 1991, the whisky was allowed to rest undisturbed for 28 years in a refill hogshead cask, until it was eventually bottled up at cask strength in October 2019. A total of 284 bottles were released.
Crisp apple peel, vanilla tart, chocolate buttons, and nutty malt.
Almond croissants, a touch of zest, and some herbaceous green oak lie beneath sweet, floral honey and praline.
Crunchy ginger biscuits, sweet orange, and barley, with oaken caramel.
