Tormore 29 Year Old 1988 (cask 15351) - The First Editions (Hunter Laing)
29 year old Tormore, bottled by Hunter Laing for the literature-inspired First Editions series (though it'll taste much better than chowing down on a copy of Oliver Twist). Distilled in 1988 and matured in a refill hogshead, this Tormore was bottled in 2018 with a very small outturn of only 60 bottles.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Sherried sweetness arrives in the shape of stewed plum and strawberry laces. Wafts of oak give it depth.
Palate
Robust malt and rich sherry jostle for dominance, with hints of almond liqueur in the middle of things.
Finish
Dates, walnuts and nutmeg.
