Single Malt

A terrific Thompson Bros. bottling of 28 year old Tormore! This one was distilled back in 1992 and left to age for nearly three decades before being bottled up at 47.3% ABV with an outturn of 252 bottles. The label has a wonderful illustration on it featuring a tree shaped like a still. Or maybe a still made of a tree. Actually, come to think of it, the first one makes more sense. It's probably the first one.
Bright orchard fruit sweetness with a smidge of fresh citrus too, plus dry barley bringing some savoury elements.
Waxy peels, Granny Smith apples, melted butter, mahogany, Toffee Crisp bars.
Subtly herbaceous on the finish.
