A North Star Spirits bottling of 27 year old single malt from the Tormore distillery. This was distilled in December 1988 and matured until October 2016, when it was bottled with an outturn of 200 bottles.
Buttery, with touches of honey-roasted peanuts and clove.
Fruitier than the nose, with blueberry jam at the core. Still rich in malt and toffee.
As the finish rolls in, it becomes packed with drying Christmas-y spices.
One of the best drops I've ever tasted.
