A well-Sherried Tormore, independently bottled by Douglas Laing! This was distilled in January 1992 and matured in a refill butt for 25 years, before being bottled in October 2017 with a small outturn of 247 bottles for the Xtra Old Particular range.
Mocha, rich toffee and a little whiff of smoky cinnamon.
Fruit cake and rum-drizzled raisin. Layers of chocolate and allspice develop later on, but dried fruit sweetness is the star of the show here.
Subtly drying with Sherried spices.
