Hailing from the Tormore distillery, this 13-year-old single malt was treated to a lengthy finish in Tempranillo Spanish red wine casks by the folks at Douglas Laing. A total of 407 bottles join the Old Particular Red Wine Cask Collection.
Rich layers of leathery oak and red wine, with strawberries, cherries, and a touch of hibiscus, joined by nutmeg and tannic spice.
Warming layers of allspice are balanced by honeyed malt and fresh cherries, with more vinous red fruit in tow.
Charred oak and warming notes of ginger linger beside red fruits and black pepper.
