A single cask 10 year old Tormore single malt from Douglas Laing's extensive Provenance range. This one was distilled back in August 2010 and set aside to age in a refill barrel for a decade, and eventually bottled in December 2020. 333 bottles were produced, each one proudly featuring a salmon and "Speyside Region" on the label.
A balancing act between rounded vanilla and fragrant citrus, with a touch of toasted bread in the background.
Orange, macadamia nuts, crumbly fudge and a hint of grist.
Nutmeg and five-spice warmth slowly builds. Still rich in vanilla.

Really enjoying this one - Midrange on the easy access - challenging scale. A unique Speyside with savoury notes amongst the fruits. Reminds me a little of Arran 10, with some other interesting notes adding complexity to differentiate it.
