Tomatin Cù Bòcan Bourbon Cask Reviews

Wow- what a surprise.

I have never been a whisky man (beer, wine and port) but was bought this... and it’s INCREDIBLE! I am a total convert. It’s lovely.

Young and light. Like a haze.

When I opened a bottle I was like "meh, another one" . But in fairness I like it so much now.
It is 8 years old (from tasting vid with master distiller at whiskey.com), vibrant and lively dram. To my nose 15ppm smoke is just right, some peeps complain is vanishing quickly. But it is ideal for me and it works well with this expression.
Good scotch single malt, if they kept it to 10 years it would be a bit better probably.
Jim Murray says it's bitter at the end, but lucky to me, my crude palate is not getting any bitterness at all. It is biting a bit towards the end, but it is more like a tingling of sparkling water. At 46% abv, I didn't notice any improvement with adding water.
Lovely dram and beautiful bottle, without labels all the text is imprinted into the bottle.

Lightly coloured with a perfect peaty finish!

A light coloured dram that requires very little water to bring out the flavours. I found it smooth with the lightly peated finish just right, not to over powering but very noticeable. Purchased 2 bottles, one for my own consumption and one for a friend in France, as I am sure all 6000 bottles will fly off the shelves!
