Cù Bòcan Virgin Oak

For Tomatin's Cù Bòcan single malt Scotch whisky, the distillery takes lightly peated single malt and matures it in a combination of Sherry, virgin and bourbon casks. However, for this limited edition release, the lightly peated single malt has been fully matured in virgin oak casks, which aren't used all that often (though it is increasingly becoming quite 'a thing' these days). Just 6,000 bottles of Tomatin Cù Bòcan Virgin Oak were produced - the second release in a series highlighting the individual cask styles that go to make Cù Bòcan.

Reviews for Tomatin Cù Bòcan Virgin Oak
very good value for money single malt
Quite unusual and unique taste, really hard to discern a prominent flavour but very enjoyable and I found it preferable to some other single malts that I've tried that are considerably more pricey.

Highly recommended
This was definitely something a little different. I was gifted a dram by a cigar smoking colleague, hints of this hints of that. Nothing I could say yeah definitely some of this in there or maybe it was the other. Whatever it is I can definitely recommend it and yes i would definitely buy more!

Perfect!
Great whisky! best I had so far! complex tast, exploding flavours and a long finish. Smooth with just a little bit of smokiness at the end! great whisky!
