Tomatin 45 Year Old 1967 (cask 9315) - Directors' Cut (Douglas Laing)

This was distilled at the Tomatin distillery in November 1967 before a 45 year maturation in a single cask (refill butt number 9315). It was bottled at natural cask strength for the Directors Cut range in December 2012. There are just 175 bottles available.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose

Rich fruits and sherried peels. Hints of mixed peels, allspice, butterscotch and barley malt.

Palate

Malty, fruity palate with hints of spice, toffee apples and pepper. Very fruity indeed.

Finish

Long and complex with huge spice notes and drying toasted oak.

Overall

A rich, full-bodied whisky with loads of influence from the sherry cask...
