A North Star Spirits bottling of wonderfully chocolatey Tobermory single malt, distilled in September 2008 and matured in a sherry butt for 10 years. In October 2018, it was bottled at cask strength, producing only 330 bottles.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Roasted coffee bean, dark chocolate and a hint of green olive.
Palate
Fruitier than the nose suggests, with blackberry and cherry developing. Still quite chocolate, with some savoury spice developing later on.
Finish
Toasted brown sugar, orange peel and oatcake.
