Single Malt
Tobermory
Scotland
A light hued single malt from the Tobermory distillery on Mull. Ledaig represents peated single malt from the distillery.
This bottle was part of a private collection - if you'd like more detailed photos just get in touch!
Quite light and well-balanced. There is a certain freshness, pertained from notes of cut hay and straw, barley sugars and herbs, notes of cereals and melted salty butter on granary toast.
Medium-bodied with a richness. There are notes of gentle wood smoke and barley sugars, a farmy note with hints of hay and a roots with a touch of cereal sweetness and caramel.
Long and slightly herbal.
one hell of a single malt whiskey
I HAVE TRIED MOST SINGLE MALTS BUT THIS IS THR BEST BY FAR, AND THE PRICE IS ALSO RXCELENT.
yes it can taste rough but stay with it and it's charms show through. £17 at robbies drams in Ayr and an absolute steal
As a drinker of peaty Islay and Island malts, I would happily pay £18 for a bottle of this- maybe it doesn't have the intensity and depth but is flavourful and nicely peaty- may be Bowmore light than Laphroaig. Good value
I can't say this is my favourite in my collection, but for the price of a 70cl, you get a bit more than other contenders at this price. This can't really hold its own with Laphroig and Talisker, but it has its own character.
