From Douglas Laing's Old Particular range comes a 21 year old single malt distilled by Tobermory on the Isle of Mull. It's a peated whisky released under the Ledaig name, distilled in June 1997 and rested in a refill hogshead. In August 2018, this smoky single malt was bottled at 50.6% ABV with only 261 bottles produced.
Mature oak, green olive and toasted brown sugar. A waft of sea spray.
Cured meats and cut herbs, with just enough caramel to balance the salinity.
Peppercorn and coriander, with pine lingering in the background.

This is really not the punch in the face I was looking for. Too bitter and very lemony for my taste. Not worth the price to me. And not enough complex for the age... 21 feels like 12!
