Description

Douglas Laing’s Timorous Beastie has taken a darker turn with Phantom Smoke. A peated Highland malt finished in Crocodile (heavily charred) casks, this isn’t your usual gentle Beastie; it’s a smoky, spicy, and complex dram. Bottled at a robust 54.2% ABV, with no added colour, it's not for the faint-hearted.

Nose

Curling smoke, scorched oak, and smouldering spice with a flicker of vanilla sweetness.

Palate

Waves of peated malt, roasted nuts, and burnt sugar meet hints of citrus and honey.

Finish

Long, smoky, and satisfyingly warm, leaving a trail of char and Highland malt sweetness.
