A limited edition release of Douglas Laing's Timorous Beastie blended malt Scotch whisky, made exclusively with Highland whiskies aged for at least 20 years. The name is a reference to a Robert Burns poem, but that's just a name — this ain't a timorous whisky at all! A release of 297 bottles, with a fancy box to house the bottle, too.
Brown sugar, toasted oak, richly malty, with a touch of black tea in the background.
Warming spices build on the palate, with cinnamon and anise in the mix, plus a fair whack of vanilla tablet.
Clean oak on the finish, with a fleeting hint of milky coffee.
Would highly recommend this delicious bottling, it's superbly sweet and spicy.
A super tasty dram that I could sip every evening! Sweet, spicy and lots of warming vanilla.
