The source of Finlaggan has remained a very closely guarded secret. To tell the true origin of Old Reserve you'll simply have to taste it and find out!
Slightly medicinal nose with hints of peanut, sticking plasters, manuka honey and digestive biscuits.
Sweet cereals, barley malt, a little peat smoke, TCP, nutmeg and ginger.
A long, sweet finish with toasty oak and peppermint.

If you like smoke just go for this , it's cheap taste fine (not as complex as...) But for a daily or sipper in between it's a good choice.
personally, I love it. Trader Joes is my go to for scotch as they are priced so much more competitively than the big boxers and liquor stores. Yes its heavy on peat and smoke, but great tasting. I think it doe require getting a taste for it but on a chilly night in the quiet of the night, its a damn g00d nightcap. Yes?
Tried it on a shop recommendation and loved it, peaty, smooth and very drinkable neat. Will be buying more. But my wife thought it was medicinal in taste, each to their own :)
Deliciously inexpensive Islay Whiskey. No it’s not Lagavulin 16 Or Ardbeg but its damn good for $20 a bottle. I save the Lagavulin for special occasions.
Did not enjoy this at all. It tastes as if someone took a decent glass of scotch and then mixed it with equal parts tap water.
