The Quiet Man Blend

A blended Irish whiskey from The Quiet Man range (not named after the John Wayne film, but rather after the father of the brand owner - he was a bartender who heard many stories during his time behind the bar but told no tales). Before bottling, the whiskey is finished in first-fill bourbon barrels.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose Icing sugar, fresh tropical fruit, green banana and honey.

Palate Creamy vanilla, toasted cereals, more honey, marmalade.

Finish Faint spiciness of cinnamon and peppery oak.

Reviews for The Quiet Man Blend
Excellent whiskey.
Just picked up my first bottle. Definitely one of the smoothest whiskeys. I’ve had the pleasure to drink.

Good all around Irish whiskey
a good choice for regular nipping
I would not call it harsh at all like some have reviewed.
One thinks this is a scotch..Hmm..
Mine was light and smooth in finishing and way playful with the palate.
Just a very good one that is in the good price category.
I prefer this to the same price point Jamo's just a tad better.

Top notch sipping whisky - distinctly Irish but smooth.
I have been enjoying rye lately but bought this on a whim -- Irish not normally my thing. Has definite character of Irish whisky but is generally smoother than most, quite a relaxing and pleasing sip. Just enough bite tp make it interesting.

Pleasant Irish Whiskey I would buy again.
It was definitely a pleasant suprise. I found it far more pleasing than Jamieson. I did find the nose icing like and fruity. I could not find the banana note but easily found the honey. On the palate I found the typical Irish Whiskey flavors of butter buscit(cookies) Then that Bourbon vanilla hints in the backround. I found the finish to be peppery and spicy(mostly cinnamon). I would call it a short to medium finish. I do wish that it had a longer finish because I really enjoy the spicy and peppery finish.

That'll do
This is the first Irish whiskey I've tried. (My intro to whiskeys was small batch Kentucky bourbon as I lived there.) I enjoyed it very much. I found it sweet and light with a pleasant spicy after taste.

Great Irish Scotch Whiskey
Very good like a scotch. Did not expect this thought it would be more like whiskey.

Pretty harsh
I am a fan and lover of Irish whiskey; this, however, is not good. It’s rough and harsh in the mouth and the flavour profile is dirty and acrid. There are far better products from which to choose that are in the blended category.

Can't recommend it.
I agree with "Awful" not sure what's wrong but it conjures up the true meaning of "Rot Gut Whiskey".. not a pleasant taste or finish.
