It's the fifth release in The Lakes Whiskymaker's Reserve series, offering up a spectacular taste of excellent English single malt. Decidedly sherried in style, with a refined elegance to it, this expression is most marvellous indeed. It was drawn from a combination of Pedro Ximénez sherry, Oloroso sherry, and red wine casks, and has been bottled up at 52% ABV. Delish!
Cherry Bakewells, dried fruit, old oak furniture, and a touch of pecan.
Coffee cake, cinnamon, rich red wine, a hint of tangy tropical fruit giving it some lift.
Toasted brown sugar and cassia, plus mahogany warmth lasting.

Bottle and description looked that good, I contemplated not opening it and putting it with my collection… glad I opened! On opening I got one if the most well described nose I’ve ever had from a bottle. If you like Rich fruity, praline style you’ll love this

This is fantastic. I think it's better than the No 4, which just won the worlds best single malt. Full of flavour. I would definitely recommend.
