Nose: Ripe apple, the darkest of dark chocolate, salt dough and a leathery note. As time goes on there’s a rich blackcurrant jam, coconut, an intense chocolate nuttiness, orange oil furniture polish, and a touch of Extra Strong Mint.
Palate: An amazingly luxurious, velvety mouthfeel. All the decadence of a Parisian chocolaterie with added coffee notes, unctuous dark fruits, and a nutty caramel.
Finish: Long and oh-so luxurious. Like the fanciest, creamiest chocolate dessert. Divine.
Overall: So much life and luxury for liquid that’s been in cask for 50 (FIFTY!) years!
