18 year old single malt from the seldom-heard-from Teaninich distillery, independently bottled by Douglas Laing for the Old Particular series. This expression was distilled in July 1999 and allowed to age in a refill hogshead until June 2018, when it was bottled with an outturn of 328 bottles.
Vanilla ice-cream topped with toffee chunks and chocolate sauce, balanced by drying cask spices.
Still very vanilla-forward, though now helpings of cooked apple and white grape give it a touch of juicy fruit sweetness.
Grassy malt, cantaloupe and honeyed cereal.

I've discovered an increasing fondness for simply bourbon casked single malts over the past few years so I was pleased to add this to my shelves. The MoM tasting notes, above, pretty much describe my experience with it. A bit expensive, I feel.
Amazing single cask, bourbon cask scotch malt. Was very lucky to try a wee dram at Milroys in london and was unable to buy a bottle as i was traveling with a hand luggage. Hope soon to get my hands on a bottle.
