A 20 year old Tamdhu, distilled in 1998 at the Speyside distillery. The single malt rested until August 2018 when it was bottled by Hunter Laing to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Old Malt Cask series. An outturn of 231 bottles were released at 50% ABV.
Lemon meringue pie, fresh green apples, fresh toast slathered in honey and butter.
Along the same line as the nose, with peppermint sweeties, a handful of dried fruit and a touch of vanilla.
Vanilla and lemons return, something like a lemon cheesecake.

We ( my mate an I ) had a tamdhu 12 and a 20 at our local . The 12 was ace, but the 29 was the best whiskey we’ve ever had by a mile ! Incredible, tasted almost orange liqueur to us , yet far more complex and warming! A must try to be honest!
