Tamdhu 19 Year Old 1999 (cask 14936) - Old Malt Cask (Hunter Laing)
This Speyside single malt Scotch whisky from Tamdhu distillery was independently bottled from a single cask refill hogshead (#14936) in April 2018 by Hunter Laing & Co. for the Old Malt Cask series. It was distilled back in 1999 and was aged for a total of 19 years before it was bottled at 50% ABV.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Mellow and fruity initially, before more distinct notes of sweet toffee, toasted malt and Acacia honey.
Palate
The palate is spicy initially with dark chocolate, sweet rhubarb and fresh nectarines emerging with time.
Finish
Medium long with licks of liquorice.
