If you're looking for a whisky to enjoy in a Highball, you can't go wrong with a good Japanese blend like this Suntory Kakubin. This one has been bottled at 43% ABV.
Brown sugar, creamy malt, quite crisp in spots.
Earthy at first, before giving way to vanilla and cardamom pods.
Floral vanilla. A touch short.

Overly sweet, I felt it almost had simple syrup in it. Not what whisky is supposed to be in my opinion.
You can get this whiskey for around 1,000 yen (7.20 pounds) in Japan. There is no way that this whiskey is more expensive than Hibiki or some of the single malts. This whiskey is about as cheap as you can get in Japan for Suntory brands except for "Tory's", "Suntory Red Label"
