Sherry

This is a particularly well-sherried single malt from the Strathmill Distillery, which was distilled back in 2006 and initially aged in refill butt casks. Before it was bottled in October 2020, it was given a 10-month-long finishing period in a fresh sherry butt, producing 709 bottles for the Signatory Cask Strength Collection.
Raspberry jam, prunes, pencil shavings and almonds.
Drying cocoa notes up front, balanced by juicy raisin and blackberry. Some cinnamon brightness appears later.
Nutty once again with walnuts, chocolate-coated peanuts and more almonds.
