Starward's Dolce single malt Australian whisky is particularly interesting (and decidedly delicious), as it was initially aged in Australian red wine casks, before being moved over to casks that held an Australian dessert wine! The dessert wine was made in the style of a well-known Sicilian dessert wine, and the casks have imparted a heaping helping of marshmallow and intense dried fruit notes.

Simmering spices and cherry toffees.
Interesting mix of sweet & bitter - shouldn’t work but it does. Nose - toasted marshmallow & crème brûlée Taste - complex oak & sweetness Finish - very long - oaky bitterness
