Indie Australian whisky from Starward! Distilled in 2011, it matured in a single first-fill Apera (an Australian sherry-style fortified wine) hogshead for five years. Eventually, Adelphi bottled it up at 58.9% ABV, with an outturn of 248 bottles. Highly flavourful stuff, this!
Bakewell tart, toasty oak, and fig sweetness, with caramelised almonds.
Tobacco and more toasted oak, with rich fudge, red fruit coulis, and roasted mocha.
A pinch of earthy baking spice, and plump chocolate-coated raisins.
