    Single Malt

Springbank 21 Year Old 1996 (cask 12379) - Xtra Old Particular (Douglas Laing)

A 21 year old single malt from Campbeltown's Springbank distillery, independently bottled by Douglas Laing as part of the Xtra Old Particular range. It was matured in a single refill hogshead from October 1996 to March 2018, before being bottled at cask strength with an outturn of only 332 bottles.

    Tasting Note by The Producer

On the nose catch the early malty gristiness and its distinct beachy saline quality. The palate subtly carried seaweed, salt, the sweeter malt and mocha flavours, while the finish is interestingly "burnt" with a biscuit, honeyed and late vanilla style.
