This Springbank was distilled in 1996 and was bottled from an ex-sherry barrel by Douglas Laing for their Director's Cut range of single malt whiskies.
An oily maritime aroma greet the nose with further notes of grapes and rhubarb. The palate boasts notes of raisins and greengages with a wealth of peat smoke. The finish is long and rewarding with rhubarb and beach bonfire flavours.
