Longrow Red 11 Year Old - Australian Shiraz Cask
This limited release of Longrow single malt Scotch whisky was aged for six years in refill bourbon casks, then finished for five years in Australian Shiraz casks. An intriguing and well executed experimental edition of the heavily peated whisky.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
The traditional Longrow peat is present, but it's paired with rich cherries and chocolate notes.
Palate
Sweet summer fruits, red wine and oatcakes all make an appearance.
Finish
Very dry with a good plume of peat smoke at the end.
Overall
Splendidly surprising.
