Hazelburn '07 Single Cask

A single cask bottling of 10 year old Hazelburn single malt from the Springbank distillery, released for the UK market. This expression was distilled in 2007 and left to mature in a recharred bourbon hogshead for a decade, until it was bottled at cask strength in 2018. Just 270 bottles were produced.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose Intense orchard fruit sweetness (apple, pear, maybe a hint of white grape), cut with creamy vanilla and a touch of burnt sugar.

Palate Oily barley, caramelised hazelnuts, cassia bark and menthol.

Finish Warming butterscotch and sponge cake, while plenty of oak-y black pepper notes continue to simmer in the background.

Reviews for Hazelburn 10 Year Old 2007 - Single Cask
Drink me, taste me please!
Guess nobody is actually drinking or tasting this “collectable whisky” as there are no reviews? which is a shame because These limited edition Hazelburns have been some of the most interesting new releases of the last couple of years and actually quite affordable if you can get in before all the investment sharks buy it all first!
Quite hot, peppery and waxy throughout and kind of makes me think of a rice pudding made with almond milk stirred with singed straw and served with a dollop of stewed ripe orchard fruit curd. The whisky flaneur
