Speyside 21 Year Old 1996 (cask 14269) - Old Mask Cask (Hunter Laing)
Single malt from the Speyside distillery (in Speyside, surprisingly), independently bottled by Hunter Laing for the Old Malt Cask range. It was distilled in September 1996 and left to age in a refhill hogshead until September 2017 - 21 years later. 224 bottles were produced.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Barley sugar sweeties and tangy strawberry laces. A hint of herbaceous fennel.
Palate
Mint humbugs, nutty dates, hearty malt.
Finish
A burst of citrus and cinnamon appears right on the finish.
