Speyside 15 Year Old 2000 (cask 11483) - Old Particular (Douglas Laing)
What's this? Another scrumptious single malt Scotch whisky from the Speyside distillery that Doulgas Laing has bottled for its Old Particular range?! Marvellous! This treat was distilled in December 2000 and aged in a refill hogshead barrel (cask #11483) for 15 years, before being bottled in November 2016. 333 bottles were produced without additional colouring or chill-filtration.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Dried apricots, peppery oak warmth and ice-cream cones lead, with some honeyed cereal and dried barley underneath.
Palate
Sweet malty develops with brown sugar and caramelised peels, as creamy vanilla, toasted pine nuts and a pinch nutmeg arrive intermittently on the palate.
Finish
Chocolatey oak and almond pastries bring things to a conclusion.
