Speyburn 7 Year Old 2004 - Old Malt Cask (Douglas Laing)

Speyburn 2004 Bottling Note

This seven year old Speyburn was bottled by Douglas Laing for the 20cl range of their Old Malt Cask brand. These are known as the 'Advance Samples' and are designed to replicate the sample bottles the Laing brothers are sent to try when selecting the casks they may later bottle.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose: A bright aroma of multiple citrus zest and pine needles leading into peppermint and fresh cut grass.

Palate: The palate enjoys notes of cereal and malt in a wholesome flavour profile.

Finish: The finish is sweet with liquorish and fennel notes.

Overall: A zesty aroma with a malty flavour and aniseed-led finish.
