Terminado means 'finished' in Spanish, and this edition of Smokehead has been finished in Tequila casks. Geddit? The Islay single malt from an undisclosed distillery is joined by creamy agave notes, citrus, and peppery spice. Cracking stuff.
Nose: Earthy peat, with some dark caramel, buttery shortbread, and charred citrus.
Palate: Bonfire smoke, toasted marshmallow, grapefruit and lime zest, and some toasted nuts.
Finish: The smoke stays, along with some red chilli, and peppery heat.
